Nimble is excited to share that on January 12, the Indiana Educator Job Board is transitioning to a more streamlined, teacher-focused experience! These updates are designed to make it easier for teachers to discover opportunities, navigate the application process, and connect with schools across the state.

Why this shift? Teacher hiring represents one of the largest and most complex HR responsibilities for school districts. Teachers make up the majority of a district’s workforce, and finding the right fit is critical to school success. At the same time, teachers often have fewer centralized places to find jobs and can spend hours navigating multiple websites and completing long, tedious applications with limited information.

The updates to the job board are designed to support teachers more directly and help districts fill essential instructional roles more efficiently. Below is a breakdown of what’s changing and what you can expect.

For Teachers: Get matched to jobs you’ll love—all in one simple place.

The changes we’re making were designed around what teachers really need, to make it faster and easier for you to find a job you’ll love. These tools are free and focused on saving time while expanding access to opportunities you may not have found on your own.

With the improved job board, teachers will be able to:

  • Browse statewide teaching vacancies all in one place

  • Use advanced search filters to find roles aligned with your preferences

  • View key information upfront, including salary schedules and commute times

  • Connect directly with principals for real conversations

  • Take a personalized match quiz that captures your deeper job criteria

  • Receive personalized recommendations for schools that align with your values, strengths and lifestyle

  • Create one Nimble profile to apply to multiple schools in seconds

In addition, we’re launching a new job-matching service in late January, which will give teachers a proactive way to get in front of principals who are actively hiring. Each week, we analyze teaching vacancies and send your profile to schools that match your preferences. This helps you find roles that align with your experience, values, and ambitions—for a career where you’ll thrive, not just work.

Don’t miss out: Prepare your new educator profile

Teachers who already created a profile on the Indiana job board can log in using the same email and password you use today, then:

  1. Upload a resume

  2. Select your grade level and subject preferences

  3. Indicate you are open to matching

If you have not previously created a profile, you can create one now in as few as five minutes by following this link.

Complete your profile today to ensure you’ll be included as soon as matching begins!

For Non-Teachers: Where to Find Open Positions Going Forward

The good news is that IDOE has provided Nimble's applicant tracking system to all districts statewide. This means:

  • All district jobs are being pushed to national platforms like Indeed and ZipRecruiter, which makes it convenient for non-teacher job seekers to use those platforms to find jobs that match their preferences.

  • Non-teachers can still use your Nimble profile to apply quickly and easily to K-12 education jobs across the state for all districts that use Nimble, which is the majority of districts.
